Let’s face it zoom business meetings are getting pretty boring and dull! Equally sitting front of a screen is not the best for boosting our physical and mental health, and therefore our productivity.

So how can you make an online business meeting more engaging, healthier and impactful? Here are 10 ideas-

  1. Think about the time. When fits best for the attendees and their other commitments in this crazy world! Ask them and find out.
  2. Think about the agenda and expectations in advance. Plan movement at approximate times.
  3. Include a relaxation This could be as simple as box breathing for a couple of minutes. Breath in for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, breath out for 3 seconds, hold for 3 seconds, repeat. This will give people a quick strategy to use for resting and clearing the mind ready for their next task.
  4. Include some motivating music and maybe even suggest people dance! Music is an instant way to raise mood and motivation. Why not ask your audience what tracks they love?! Or even try a team tiktok dance?!
  5. Allow breaks and suggest movement. e.g. 5 minutes to walk round their garden or get out in the fresh air.
  6. Why not include a 5 minute stretch or quick hitt workout? Maybe ask the audience to lead on this in advance? Or ask each person to suggest a move and do for 20 seconds each (depending on the number of people!)
  7. Nutrition food massively impacts on productivity. You could give all attendees an allowance to purchase a healthy meal to eat in the break, and tell all about it.
  8. You could send all attendees 5 ingredients each and in the break ask them to come up with their own creations and share.
  9. Include a session on sharing best practices on managing health in a remote world. This is a great way to make health contagious.
  10. Set up a health competition e.g. speedy recipes working from home and vote on the best, or number of steps in the day.
  11. Ask attendees to go and find an item that tells the audience something about themselves. E.g they may get a medal/ picture etc that they could have time to talk about.
  12. Lead by example by standing and invite others to do also.
  13. Maintain interaction from all- to prevent the temptation for the audience to start multitasking and drift onto other things.
  14. Be upbeat and engaging.
  15. Share positive noise, such as things that have inspired you.

Why not “make health contagious” and share this post?
